My inspiration for “Peach Photography” comes from the experience of the “peach and the pit”, a light-hearted social discussion that has us ponder the best and worst part of our day. It is a reminder that not every day is great, but every day has something great in it.

That is my goal as a photographer...to have my work reflect what it is that makes a day special; what it is that makes a moment special.

Trevor & Amanda’s In-Home Maternity Session

I’ll start by saying, not everyone is enthusiastic about the idea of a maternity session. Being pregnant is not exactly comfortable for all women, but where are you most comfortable? At home! An in-home maternity session is always the most comfortable of the options. You can wear sweats, t-shirts, control the temperature, be barefoot, hang out on your sofa or bed… why say no?

An in-home maternity session is hands down the most fun too. Whether you are first time parents, parents with pets you would like to include, or a family with children waiting for their new sibling, an in-home maternity session allows everyone to have fun in front of the camera in their own space. This is also space that will soon be welcoming this new and gorgeous life you have created. On top of documenting your family where they are all comfortable, you would also be documenting your home. Think of all the special memories and laughter that will fill those rooms and the photos for generations to come. That’s reason enough to invite a photographer in for this milestone!

Trevor and Amanda were an April 2022 Peach wedding couple. Not only that, but they are friends to my husband and me, so I know a lot about them. I know they recently renovated their house in New Jersey. I know they have a beautiful puppy they love and would want to include in photos. I know Trevor dislikes photos and being the center of attention. I know that Trevor has a love for aquatics and his meticulously thought-out fish tank. Take all that and add in that it was February and pretty darn cold out, an in-home maternity session was a clear answer for their photos.

I am also so grateful to be invited back into the lives of my wedding clients for important life landmarks. It’s one of the reasons I love my career! I had so much fun making Amanda feel like the gorgeous mom she is and keeping Trevor comfortable in front of the camera. Check out all the fun we had!

Maternity beauty tip, lovely Amanda did her own makeup which is a great way to feel like yourself! Her hair however, did get blown out at The Blow Dry Bar in Bernardsville, NJ.
