The peach and the pit……
As do most stories, this one begins, and ends, with reflection.
In my experience, ‘the peach and the pit’ usually occurred around the dinner table, after a great meal and a full day. Simply….each person is asked to ponder the best and worst part of their day; the sweetest, softest moment and the tougher, harder one.
The youngest person always went first, then clock-wise from that starting point. There are no rules, but you find yourself not wanting to repeat the same ‘peaches and pits’ as those who’ve gone before you, unless of course….that moment was truly, definitively ‘your’ peach or pit.
It is the story of teaching ourselves, and those around us, to be grateful for the moments that make us shine, as well as those that may cause us to shed a tear; re-think our behavior, re-focus our energy.
In the end, the story of the peach and the pit is one of perspective, gratitude and resilience. It is also a story about listening; truly paying attention to the thoughts and feelings of those around you.
That is my goal as a photographer…to have my work reflect what it is that makes a day special; what it is that makes a moment special. I often find those moments are not where I initially believe they will be.

“Not every day is great, but every day has something great in it.”
My inspiration for Peach Photography comes from basis of the quote above and the reflection piece called “the peach and the pit”.
