My inspiration for “Peach Photography” comes from the experience of the “peach and the pit”, a light-hearted social discussion that has us ponder the best and worst part of our day. It is a reminder that not every day is great, but every day has something great in it.

That is my goal as a photographer...to have my work reflect what it is that makes a day special; what it is that makes a moment special.

Kathleen & Mike’s Autumn Hoboken Engagement Session

From college friends, to post college soccer team, to rodent rescue, proposal, and an Autumn Hoboken engagement session. Kathleen and Mike never expected their first meeting would transpire to all this year has to bring, their wedding! Okay, okay. Let’s rewind.

In 2011, way before their Autumn Hoboken engagement session, Kathleen & Mike met in college. They never dated but remained friends throughout school. College ends and as most local 20 somethings in Jersey do, they moved to Hoboken. Somehow (small world) they both end up on a kickball team together and their friendship continues in 2017. Who would think the steppingstone to dating would be a dead mouse in Kathleen’s apartment?

Single ladies, take notes! Kathleen comes home to a deceased rodent and calls Mike to rescue her. Strategic or not on her part, the rest is as they say, “history”.

I do like a good love story, so I’ll elaborate a little more. It’s now 2020, Mike is a CPA and Kathleen is a schoolteacher. They are on a visit to her hometown and following a long night decide to take an early morning walk. Again, as most 20 somethings, she’s in athleisure wear and makeup from the night before. Mike, knows she’s as beautiful as always and gets down on one knee.

“My favorite part of the proposal was that I was totally and completely thrown off guard. I knew it was ‘coming soon’ but had no idea. We were in my hometown for the weekend so the fact that I was able to see my family right after was very special to me.” – Kathleen

When they decided to take advantage of a photo session with Peach Photography, the location was not in question. “We love where we live. We’re right on the water in Hoboken so we decided it was easy and personable for us to have pictures in the little city where we reconnected and live.”

They chose to meet with me a year from their October 2022 wedding at Ramsey Golf & Country club. The day we met by the Hudson was perfection! Check out their Autumn Hoboken Engagement session below.
