Cait & Joe’s Wedding Celebration
One year ago, the Mastrangelos had their charming wedding at The Mill at Lakeside Manor located in Spring Lake Heights, NJ. From the joyous arrival of guests to the heartfelt exchange of vows, the whole day was filled with excitement, laughter, and a few unexpected rainy-day surprises.
Venue tours were a highlight for Cait and Joe, and when they stepped into The Mill at Lakeside Manor, they knew it was the one. Its picturesque exterior, serene lake, and breathtaking ballroom captured their hearts. And being able to get ready at Cait’s uncle’s house, just a mile away, added sentimental value to their choice!
Dress shopping was an unforgettable experience for Cait. She realized that the true joy lay in the process itself, rather than the pressure to find “the one” dress. Her advice to future brides is to savor every moment and enjoy the journey.
On their wedding day at The Mill at Lakeside Manor, Cait, and Joe incorporated meaningful touches that made the celebration uniquely theirs. Photos of Cait’s late grandparents were attached to her bouquet, and a special photo of Cait and her father was attached to his tie. Even Cait’s cousin serenaded her down the aisle with “A Thousand Years,” adding a personal touch to the ceremony. Their love for their cats was included by incorporating them into signature cocktail drinks. A choreographed dance injected fun into the traditional slow dances. They even had a live painter to capture the live energy of the day, and personalized notes on each table showed appreciation for their guests.
Cait and Joe advise future couples to communicate and make decisions together, prioritizing their own preferences…
“Talk everything through with your significant other. Don’t be afraid to make decisions about your day based on what you like- don’t compromise on what other people like…the day is all about you! Go for that big purchase, whether it’s a band, certain venue, live painter, etc.- do it! The day goes by so quickly and you only do it once- LIVE IT UP! It truly all does come together the day of- don’t overly stress the small details (people don’t notice!)”

The Mastrangelo’s love story began in high school where they first met yet didn’t really know one another that well. It wasn’t until years later their best friends reconnected them at a Halloween party!
