My inspiration for “Peach Photography” comes from the experience of the “peach and the pit”, a light-hearted social discussion that has us ponder the best and worst part of our day. It is a reminder that not every day is great, but every day has something great in it.

That is my goal as a photographer...to have my work reflect what it is that makes a day special; what it is that makes a moment special.

Tuscany-inspired Wedding at Hamilton Farm Golf Club

From sophomore year math class to their Tuscany-inspired Hamilton Farm Golf Club wedding, Elyse and Patrick brought their love and families together in the perfect fusion. Planning a wedding so recently out of Covid, their Tuscany destination wedding dreams were less ideal than prior. Rather than worrying about all of their supportive friends and family being able to fly to a wedding in Tuscany, Elyse and Patrick brought Tuscany to their wedding.

To quote the couple, “We love how the Italian culture celebrates family, food, and a good time. That is exactly how we wanted our wedding to be!”

The garden space for a Hamilton Farm Golf Club Wedding is the perfect backdrop to bring their vision to life. The team at Hamilton Farm, Deb from Peonies to Paint Chips, and Elyse’s mom were a stellar team. On our initial phone call, Elyse, Patrick, and I talked about Italy vibes including string lights, rosemary, gelato, eating alfresco, and more. When I walked in on their wedding day, I still could not help but be blown away.

There Tuscany Hamilton Farm Golf Club wedding was complete with live Italian accordion music, vintage Italian glass bottles for the seating chart (hand-made by the mother of the bride), alfresco tables under bright string lights, floral arrangements with rosemary, olives, lemons, eucalyptus, limoncello cocktails, and a gelato cart for dessert. The guests were immediately transported. OH! I also have to mention that their wedding was during a Harvest Moon.

Well, with such wonderful plans of eating and dancing under the stars, Elyse & Patrick were keeping their fingers crossed for good weather. Although they had a great plan B, this was not the most difficult part of the planning process.

“The most difficult part was trying to keep our guest list at a number that we knew we could still enjoy the wedding & have every person that has supported us for the past 11 years! Unfortunately, that meant no plus ones. We were lucky that everyone understood & supported our decision!”

Couple’s Peach: Having my (Elyse) parents walk me down the aisle! The whole moment walking down the aisle with my parents by my side, seeing Patrick down at the altar, and having all the people we love there was by far the peach of the wedding day.

Couple’s Pit: I cannot say there was an actual pit. Most brides and grooms might say they “didn’t enjoy the food” or “dance enough” however I feel that our team, family, and friends truly understood us. Maybe it was getting the groomsmen’s and my (Patrick) tuxedo to fit correctly…I guess that’s a con of using an online tuxedo rental company. Also, my tuxedo jacket’s button popped off during our pictures which was not ideal!
