My inspiration for “Peach Photography” comes from the experience of the “peach and the pit”, a light-hearted social discussion that has us ponder the best and worst part of our day. It is a reminder that not every day is great, but every day has something great in it.

That is my goal as a photographer...to have my work reflect what it is that makes a day special; what it is that makes a moment special.

Kelly & Tom’s Celebration

Each wedding I capture tells a unique story, and Kelly and Tom’s day was nothing short of an extraordinary love story. Their journey—from meeting during a pandemic, to their first frosty February date in Hoboken, to tying the knot at their stunning Fiddler’s Elbow Fall wedding, located in Bedminster, NJ—was a dream to document. Read on for a glimpse into their story and their beautiful October wedding day.

The Coffins met the way many couples did in 2020—on Bumble during the pandemic. Despite having several mutual connections, their paths had never crossed until their first date at Zack’s in Hoboken. With a 90-minute indoor dining limit in place, they moved on to Moran’s to keep the conversation going…

“We went to Moran’s and sat outside (despite the fact that it was February) because we wanted to keep talking. I was wearing a fur jacket and was under a heater, and had no idea that for the next 5 hours Tom was nearing frostbite because the heater wasn’t reaching him but he didn’t want the date to end.” – Bride, Kelly

…The February chill couldn’t dampen their connection!

Kelly and Tom’s relationship blossomed in Hoboken, a city that became the backdrop for some of their most memorable moments. It was only fitting that Tom chose the waterfront in Hoboken (Pier C) as the spot to propose. Kelly was completely surprised, and they celebrated with family later that night.

Fiddler’s Elbow wedding venue captured the Coffin’s hearts from the very first tour. Even on a dreary February day, the picturesque grounds and elegant ballroom stood out, leaving a last impression and leading to their choice to have a Fiddler’s Elbow Fall wedding.

“Fiddler’s Elbow was the first venue we visited and we stayed so long we almost missed our next appointment. We fell in love with the grounds and the ballroom…and we knew we could trust Meghan to help us bring our vision to life! Meghan showed us photo albums of the venue during different seasons and that’s how we also found Peach Photography!” – Kelly

Details that reflected their personalities and values as a couple was infused throughout Kelly and Tom’s October wedding day at Fiddler’s Elbow. One standout was their decision to host a kid-friendly celebration, which Kelly admitted was initially controversial. However, their flower girls brought so much joy to the day, reminding everyone of the importance of including the people—and little ones—that matter most.

Other personal touches made their Fiddler’s Elbow Fall wedding day truly their own: The coffee bar, complete with cups featuring the Coffin’s dog Chloe’s face, delighted guests and showcased their playful side. And Kelly’s bouquet wrap, made from her mom’s wedding dress, added a deeply sentimental touch.

Kelly’s advice to future brides and grooms was refreshingly honest…

“I can’t believe I’m giving this advice but try to keep all of the small stuff in perspective! Things will go wrong throughout the planning process – the hotel is sold out, invitations get lost, people share unsolicited opinions – none of it will matter in the end because the day is to celebrate you and your partner’s marriage!”  – Kelly

…Her words serve as a beautiful reminder that, in the end, the details are just that—details. Concentrate on what truly matters during your big day!

Capturing Kelly and Tom’s Fiddler’s Elbow Fall wedding was a photographer’s dream. The early morning buzz of excitement, the emotion of their first look, the radiant smiles as they danced with their flower girls—it was the perfect October wedding at Fiddler’s Elbow. I feel very grateful to have played a small part in helping the Coffins remember their gorgeous wedding day for years to come. Check out the photos below!
