My inspiration for “Peach Photography” comes from the experience of the “peach and the pit”, a light-hearted social discussion that has us ponder the best and worst part of our day. It is a reminder that not every day is great, but every day has something great in it.

That is my goal as a photographer...to have my work reflect what it is that makes a day special; what it is that makes a moment special.

Payton & John’s Wedding

For this lovely couple’s Philadelphia wedding journey, let’s start from the very beginning! Payton and John’s love story began in college, where they were paired together for a group project. What started as an academic partnership quickly blossomed into a lifelong connection. Sometimes, the most profound relationships begin in the most unexpected places.

John’s proposal was nothing short of thoughtful. He chose the iconic Boat House Row in Philadelphia, one of Payton’s favorite places to go for walks that holds a special place in her heart. To add an extra layer of magic, he involved her sisters in the surprise!

How did they select their venue? John’s inside knowledge played a vital role in selecting their wedding venue! Having worked at The Lucy, located in Philadelphia, in the past, he knew the ins and outs of the industry and how that specific company ran their weddings. This led them to ultimately choosing a Philadelphia Wedding at The Lucy to set the stage for their big day!

The most delightful aspect of planning their wedding was doing it together. Their process was a fun one, and every task they ticked off their checklist brought them closer to their dream day.

“The best part was planning it together. We had so much fun throughout the whole process and each time we checked something off our list we knew it would be one step closer.”

-Bride, Payton

In the lead-up to their Philadelphia Wedding, Payton couldn’t shake her concerns about the weather. The possibility of rain or scorching heat weighed on her mind, especially since they had planned outdoor photos. Yet, as you’ll soon discover in the photos below, nature had a pleasant surprise in store!

Wedding days can certainly stir up emotions, and John and Payton’s wedding was no exception. Their favorite moment was undeniably the ceremony. Writing their own vows made it incredibly special and hearing each other’s heartfelt words for the first time was unforgettable.

To infuse their wedding with their personal life, John and Payton included a detail of home. They incorporated a bulldog ice sculpture, a playful nod to their beloved pet who couldn’t be there in person.

Freshly wedded, John and Payton have some valuable advice for those in the throes of wedding planning…

“Try to have as much fun as you can throughout the process and enjoy every step of the way.”

-Payton

…a simple, yet extremely important tip! So many couples get wrapped up in the planning and processes of the day that they forget to just enjoy it!

In conclusion, John and Payton’s Philadelphia wedding at The Lucy showcased their love story excellently, as I’m sure you’ll see shine through in some of my favorite photos from their gallery below!
