My inspiration for “Peach Photography” comes from the experience of the “peach and the pit”, a light-hearted social discussion that has us ponder the best and worst part of our day. It is a reminder that not every day is great, but every day has something great in it.

That is my goal as a photographer...to have my work reflect what it is that makes a day special; what it is that makes a moment special.

When Oliva and Brock’s Hamilton Farm Golf Club Wedding began to approach quickly in August, I was so excited and anxious to meet them. Olivia is currently an award-winning television news reporter in Nashville where her, Brock and their doggo live. Due to their out of state residence, we had not met in person before the wedding. Instead, we had a fun zoom and they sent me a bunch of inspiration photos. I wanted to make sure I captured all the dreams she had about her wedding plus the charm of Hamilton Farm Golf Club weddings that made her and Brock fall in love with the venue.

When I asked what the best part of planning their Hamilton Farm Golf Club wedding was, they said: “Weddings are really all about you, the couple! We loved infusing our personal story and tastes into every aspect- from cake flavors, to music, to cocktail hour cornhole with Brock’s college mascot on it.”

To help with the details and planning of their day, Olivia and Brock hired Peony Events.  Brock is from Arkansas, Olivia from New Jersey, and with their current home in Tennessee, their guests were attending from all over the US. Peony Events did an amazing job helping the couple stay true to themselves throughout the planning process. From designing the invitations to selecting the food- there wasn’t a detail at the wedding that everyone didn’t think carefully about. It truly encompassed Olivia’s poise and Brock’s southern charm.

At the end of the day everything went so smoothly! Peony events and Hamilton Farm Golf Club helped me keep Olivia and Brock on time and check off everything on their “shot list”. From the candid pics in the garden, the photos at sunset, and direct flash vibe snaps at night in the study, the assignment was complete. The couple would agree when I say, the day flew by!

I asked if they had any advice for future couples planning, “If you spend too much time worrying about others, you’ll miss out on all the excitement for yourself.  It’s natural to stress as the day approaches- we sure did! But in the end, the day is all about you as a couple. So soak up every moment you can because they go by fast. It’s the only time in your life that all your loved ones will be together in one place just to celebrate you. And lastly- eat the food!”

Bride’s Peach: Our peach was getting to celebrate our day with all our loved ones. While that may sound cliche, Brock is from Arkansas, I am from New Jersey, and we had friends and family fly in from across the country- as far as California! It meant the world to have our favorite people all in one place.

Bride’s Pit: My pit was not getting to enjoy our food as much as I had hoped! With so much to do and so many people to speak with, I rarely had a moment to enjoy our dinner. From what I hear, it was delicious!
