Catherine and Connor’s Celebration
Catherine and Connor’s wedding at Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone, NJ, was the kind of day that felt straight out of a Bridgerton scene—romantic, whimsical, and full of joy at every turn. Their celebration was about so much more than two people coming together—it honored family, friends, and the special places that shaped their love story.
In the heart of New York City, a dating app unexpectedly became the beginning of Catherine and Connor’s timeless love story.
“Connor asked me to marry him on Saturday, January 27 at Natirar in Gladstone, NJ! We went home to my parents’ house that weekend, where he told me we were having dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Ninety Acres (the restaurant at Natirar). It turned out to be more than dinner! He asked me to marry him in the beautiful garden on the property. Following dinner, he surprised me with an engagement party with his and my family at my parents’ house in Gladstone. It was a day we will remember forever!” -Bride, Catherine
When it came time to choose their summer wedding venue, Hamilton Farm Golf Club felt deeply personal. Growing up attending golf events at Hamilton Farm, it felt like a natural place to say “I do” in the heart of Catherine’s hometown—and it perfectly set the stage for their English garden-inspired vision to come to life. The couple envisioned rich, vibrant touches—Bridgerton vibes that translated beautifully into florals, decor, and even attire. Jardiniere Flowers also brought the vision to life with lush arrangements in deep blues and purples, accented with greens and whites, perfectly complementing the periwinkle bridesmaid dresses.
The reception experience reflected the couple’s love of elevated hospitality — something guests immediately felt throughout the evening. The cocktail hour was a feast for the senses, featuring passed hors d’oeuvres alongside a dim sum and raw bar station. Dinner followed with a burrata salad and surf-and-turf entrée, culminating in a variety of desserts, including Italian stations, mini cookies, beignets, and even root beer floats. And for the afterparty? True to their NJ roots, they served up a full diner spread of bacon, egg, and cheese bagels, waffles, bacon, sausage, and eggs.
Small, meaningful touches made the Coughlins’ wedding uniquely theirs…
“We also had custom made matchboxes with icons of all the important places that mean a lot to us like the restaurant where we first met, our wedding venue, our family dogs, and our honeymoon destination, Hawaii. We wanted everyone to feel welcomed so we invited kids and the dance floor was that much more fun with them lighting it up. Lastly, my parents surprised us with a fireworks show at the end of the night, it was Magical.” – Catherine
Planning a wedding comes with its challenges, and Catherine admits the hardest part was managing the small details in the final stretch, tying together the run of the show, and making sure every piece was in place. Rain was a worry, too, but the couple was blessed with perfect weather, letting their whole summer wedding day at Hamilton Farm shine. And the best part? Planning alongside her mom, who she says was her rock throughout the process.
