My inspiration for “Peach Photography” comes from the experience of the “peach and the pit”, a light-hearted social discussion that has us ponder the best and worst part of our day. It is a reminder that not every day is great, but every day has something great in it.

That is my goal as a photographer...to have my work reflect what it is that makes a day special; what it is that makes a moment special.

Reflecting on Samantha and Jeff’s Crystal Springs Resort end of Summer wedding, located in Hamburg, NJ, feels like reliving the perfect late summer day. An event filled with love and unique details that made it unmistakably theirs, this celebration captured the essence of their relationship. Their love story has such a beautiful history. Although they’d known each other through Sam’s brother Bill for about ten years, their connection truly blossomed during a shared snowboarding trip in Vermont in 2020…

“Bill asked Sam (for the 1000th time) to join the annual snowboarding trip to Vermont. The trip was a blast. It allowed Sam and Jeff to spend more time together and enjoy each other’s company.”

…It was there that Jeff and Sam discovered the fun of each other’s company, and soon after, they were inseparable. From then on, their journey as a couple became a shared adventure, full of spontaneity and shared passions.

Jeff proposed during a vacation in Cape May—one of their most cherished places on the Jersey Shore. He knew the beach was Sam’s happy place, so it was perfect for such a significant moment. After a relaxing dinner, Jeff asked Sam to take a stroll along the beach. With a stunning sunset backdrop and the soft sound of waves, Jeff dropped to one knee, surprising Sam completely.

The Daleys chose to have their end-of-summer wedding at Crystal Springs Resort not only for its beautiful outdoor spaces but for the convenience it provided…

“We had seen how beautiful it was when searching for venues, and were first attracted to it due to the outdoor spaces for our ceremony. We also loved that it was a one stop shop, in the sense that guests could stay right at the resort instead of having to work with a hotel separately.” – Samantha

They also fell in love with the idea of an epic after-party in the venue’s Biosphere Pool—what could be better than capping off their big day with a poolside party?

With careful attention to detail, Sam and Jeff’s Crystal Springs Resort wedding day felt personal and authentic. They chose music that held deep meaning, with their first dance to Dave Matthews Band’s “Two Step”—an upbeat song that’s been “their song” since the beginning of their relationship. They also included a unique guest book: an old rotary phone where friends and family recorded messages, that would later be converted into a vinyl keepsake.

In terms of design, the Daleys created a “garden party” feel. The floral arrangements incorporated vibrant pops of color that matched their personalities, bringing warmth and elegance to the entire event in Crystal Springs’ spaces. For the bridesmaids, Sam wanted their personalities to shine through, so she gave them the freedom to choose green dresses in their own styles.

When asked about their favorite part of the day, both Sam and Jeff mentioned their ceremony. Rather than traditional vows, they recited personally chosen poems, adding a unique element to the celebration. Another aspect that made their day special was their approach to the planning process…

“We did absolutely everything together (minus Sam’s dress obviously) and tried to make it as fun as possible. It seems like these days choices are made very much by one person or the other, and we wanted every part of the day to be for us and by us.” – Samantha

Peach: “So cliche but this one is so hard, the whole day was filled with so many special moments. We really enjoyed hearing the poems each of us chose to recite instead of vows. In general, our ceremony was really authentic to who we are. We truly felt the love we have for each other and the love that surrounded us by our guests made it unforgettable. Listening to everyone’s speeches was amazing (Jeff will be leaving shorter voicemails from now on!) Of course, dancing the night away was super fun and everyone loved the band, which is exactly what we wanted”

Pit: “Not getting to say hi to every single person there! We’re both big talkers and even though it’s nearly impossible to do this, we would have loved to! And Sam’s bustle falling apart during our entrance because she was going a little too hard to the Beastie Boys lol”
