Megan & Sal’s Celebration
Every wedding tells a story, but Megan and Sal’s celebration at Renault Winery in Egg Harbor City, NJ, was like stepping into a beautiful fairy tale. This summer wedding was the perfect mix of heartfelt moments, meticulous planning, and uniting family and friends. Here’s a glimpse into their magical wedding day through my perspective and my lens.
The Grosso’s story began years ago at the University of Scranton, where Sal noticed Megan from afar but never got the chance to meet her. Fate intervened years later at The Pilsner Haus Biergarten in Hoboken, NJ, where they finally connected and hit it off.
Fast forward a few years, and Megan and Sal’s proposal story is as romantic as it gets. Sal had planned to propose during a sunset cruise in Charleston, SC. However, the crowded boat and hazy weather were less than ideal. But Sal didn’t let this deter him. After the cruise, Sal found the perfect moment to get down on one knee…
“Sal insisted we walked around for a bit. In a spur of the moment as we walked past this beautiful art institute with breathtaking gardens and fountains, Sal found his perfect moment to propose.”
– Bride, Megan
It was an impromptu proposal, filled with the spontaneity and love that defined their relationship.
Renault Winery was discovered thanks to The Knot. Megan and Sal found it while searching for a venue that matched their modern yet rustic vision. Upon visiting Renault Winery, they fell in love with its charm. The blend of historic elegance made it the perfect scene for their big day. As a photographer, Renault Winery offered endless picturesque spots, from the vineyard to the beautifully manicured gardens, each providing a stunning summer setting for their photos.
Planning a Renault Winery wedding is no small feat, and Megan and Sal faced their fair share of pressures. The most difficult part was…
“The stress of hoping everything would come together and trying to remember all the small tasks and details leading up to the final days before the big day.”
– Megan
The weather was also a concern to Megan, particularly since they envisioned an outdoor ceremony. Thankfully, the day turned out perfect, allowing their dream ceremony to unfold as planned.
On the brighter side, the best part of the planning process was watching their vision come to life. As decorations arrived and vendor drafts were finalized, they could see their summer wedding at Renault Winery taking shape. The excitement of seeing everything come together made all the stress worthwhile.
Megan and Sal’s wedding was filled with special details that reflected their personalities and love for their families. They included an Anniversary Dance to celebrate couples married for many years, creating a sentimental moment for everyone. A Polaroid guest book allowed guests to capture instant memories, and a personalized seating chart mirror added an elegant touch. They also had a memory table with a candle for loved ones who had passed, ensuring their presence was felt throughout the day.
Megan and Sal’s advice for future couples is to enjoy the planning process, despite its stresses…
“Please please please enjoy the process. Everyone tells you this and you hear it but in moments of stress, back to back phone calls and emails, and expenses you forget, but I promise it is all worth it. Seeing all of the people you love in one room and all your hard work coming together is an experience you’ll never forget. And take 5 minutes to yourselves before the ceremony to walk around and look at everything you made happen.”
