Lauren, Tom and I first met for a meeting at their venue, a little over a year before their wedding. We chatted about a lot! We discussed why I love a Trump National Bedminster Wedding and how I ended up in photography, Lauren’s job as a teacher fitting her type A personality, and Tom being a police officer in a time when “defund the police” was booming across America. I learned that they initially met over a long St Patrick’s day weekend and were forever bonded by Guinness, Jameson, and grilled cheese.
As mentioned, I always loved working a Trump National Bedminster wedding, but I wanted to know why Lauren and Tom fell in love it:
“Tom and I knew we didn’t want a traditional wedding venue (or a “wedding factory”). Trump National Bedminster was the first venue we toured. After looking at about five other venues, we kept coming back to a Trump National Bedminster Wedding . We felt at home there and knew it would be the perfect place to celebrate our new journey together.”
Lauren
It was important for them to make the venue and their Trump National Bedminster wedding uniquely “them” as a couple. Tom and Lauren would not describe themselves as “over the top” people. They wanted a classic, timeless wedding, with pops of pieces of them throughout. One way they did this was creating what they called, “our love is meant to be an adventure” wall. They used the library room next to the ballroom for this. Lauren and Tom love to travel so they framed photos from every vacation they had been on together. “As a surprise to Tom, I also got his police department patch sewn into my dress to surprise him as my something blue.” – Lauren
This last note from Lauren on her Trump National Bedminster wedding is one I promise I did not make up! I asked if she would have any advice for other engaged couples. Any advice for future brides and grooms?
“The best piece of advice I received while wedding planning was to pick a wedding photographer who you’d want to be your friend. This made our decision to pick Alicia easy. Another thing I would mention to the newly engaged is to enjoy the day and go with the flow. At the end of the day, your closest friends and family are at your wedding to celebrate you so take in the moment and have fun!”

Lauren & Tom’s “Peach & Pit”
Bride’s Peach: To us, the whole day was perfect! A major highlight of the day happened as we were taking photos outside of the Clubhouse, we received a visit from President Trump who took time out of his day to talk to Tom and I and congratulate us on our marriage! The photos are epic, too!
Bride’s Pit: During cocktail hour, a guest that had a few too many beverages accidentally knocked me over attempting to give me a hug. I ended the night with a Texas-sized bruise on my butt! At least it made for a good story and funny guest photos!
