The Blakes

Some of my absolute favorite content to photograph are Jersey Shore Family Photos. Whether it’s Seaside Park, Island Beach State Park (connected to Seaside Park), Avalon, Spring Lake, Manasquan, or Belmar, these towns hold a special place in my heart and behind my lens. There’s something truly magical about capturing a Jersey Shore family photos in these iconic Jersey shore spots, where the ocean breeze and sandy shores become a backdrop to moments of joy and connection.

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Jersey Shore family photos with the Blakes at Seaside Park, a location that’s become even more meaningful to them this year. The Blakes (Caity, Rory, and their two boys, Carter and Calvin) bought a house in Seaside Park in 2024. They are beyond excited about what this new chapter will mean for their family and the summers to come.

The weather on the day of their jersey shore family photos was absolutely perfect—bright, sunny, with just the right breeze to keep things comfortable. It made the experience even more enjoyable and gave the photos a natural glow.

Watching Carter and Calvin’s excitement as they played in the sand and edged toward the water, still discovering all the little details of the shore was a highlight of their family photos for me. There’s a pure wonder in those steps into the water, the feel of sand between tiny toes, and the curious expressions as they explore this new world. It’s such a special experience to capture because I know this is just the beginning of a lifelong relationship with the jersey shore for the Blakes.

What I love most about Jersey Shore family photos is how it brings families together in the most relaxed and genuine ways. The shore is such a huge part of growing up in Jersey—it’s a place full of nostalgia for many, while for some, like the Blakes, it’s a fun new chapter. 

For the Blakes, this session was more than just photos—it was a celebration of a second home and family traditions in the making. I can’t wait to see how their memories here grow, summer after summer.
