Lindsey and Homan’s Celebration
Lindsey and Homan’s October TillingHouse wedding, located in Eatontown, NJ, felt like a timeless black-and-white film come to life. It had elegance, intimacy, and those fleeting, heartfelt moments that make you fall in love with photography all over again. From the moment I arrived to capture the day, I knew I was witnessing something special.
The Alavis’ journey began in the summer of 2022 through online dating, and it didn’t take long for their connection to spark into something deeper. Their third date happened within five days of the first. It was easy, natural, and full of the kind of chemistry you just can’t stage. Fast forward to April 14th, 2024, and Homan was down on one knee under a Spring Lake boardwalk gazebo…
“Homan and I were walking on the boardwalk In spring lake like we used to do on many occasions, especially when we first started dated. Homan proposed under a gazebo facing the beach. It was perfect, especially for us and meaningful that it is somewhere we go back to. He didn’t tell a soul so it was a lot of fun surprising everyone afterwards to share the exciting news.” – Bride, Lindsey
When they started wedding planning just six months out, Lindsey dove in with intention and clarity. With a TillingHouse wedding, it was love at first sight. The venue checked every box for their fall wedding: a gorgeous outdoor ceremony space, a modern ballroom, incredible food, and a cozy parlor lounge with a fireplace that added charm.
The Alavis’ design vision for their TillingHouse wedding was sleek, moody, and sophisticated. Everything was anchored in black and white, from the groom’s ivory jacket and the groomsmen’s tuxedos to the bridesmaids’ mix-and-match floor-length black gowns. Lindsey gave her girls the freedom to choose their own styles (as long as it fit the theme), and her sister, the maid of honor, stood out in a striking black satin number. The look? Effortless, elegant, and absolutely perfect for their October wedding at TillingHouse.
One of the most heartwarming touches of the day? Their beloved pup, Storm! He was part of the engagement session and showed up again on the wedding day, adding a layer of joy and personality that was uniquely “them.” The photos of Storm are some of Lindsey’s favorites, and I have to admit, they’re mine too.
Despite a few moments of doubt about pulling it off in such a short time, everything came together perfectly…
“I questioned whether we would be able to pull it off in such a short time a few times but it all fell into place and went off without a hitch! I wouldn’t change a single thing. We were so happy with everything!!! Wish we could do it all again lol” – Lindsey
….Lindsey embraced the challenge with grace and determination. While there wasn’t one single element that stood out as particularly difficult, she admitted that the sheer volume of decisions and the need for constant communication made the process intense. But the result was something truly seamless.
For future couples planning their day, Lindsey’s advice is refreshing…
“Just have fun with everything! Yes, it’s your wedding day but don’t take it all so seriously. It’s one day. Just enjoy the process and most importantly, enjoy each other. Do not sweat the small stuff, everyone is there to celebrate you both and that’s all that matters !” – Lindsey
…And after spending a day with Lindsey and Homan, capturing the joy and elegance of their love story, I can confirm: they lived that advice beautifully.
Every detail of Lindsey and Homan’s day felt intentional and true to them. It was a joy to capture a celebration so full of love, laughter, and meaning. Cheers to the Alavis!

BRIDE’S PEACH & PIT
PEACH: “The best- there were a lot of highlights of our day! Besides getting to officially marry each other and share laughs, smiles, tears together at the altar, one of the best parts was seeing both of our parents and families so happy and enjoying every moment along with us. The whole day was just so much fun from start to finish! I think we both smiled the whole entire day.”
PIT: “The worst- everything went by so quickly!! (Despite everyone warning us that it would) it felt like the night flew by and we didn’t get to spend as much time with everyone. However, we were happy we had the afterparty to extend the party a few extra hours and we were able to socialize and spend more time with our guests and each other.”
