Capturing a couple’s love during an engagement session is about more than just posing in front of a camera; it’s about telling a story that is unique to each couple. Here are some of my favorite engagement session locations, guaranteed to create lasting memories.

Island Beach State Park

Island Beach State Park is my favorite beach and one of the best engagement session locations. One of the things I love most about beaches is the privacy factor. Unlike more crowded areas, a beach allows couples to truly be themselves without the distraction of onlookers. Island Beach State Park, is the most natural beach in Jersey. With wide jungle-like dunes, breathtaking views, soft natural sand, and no homes, it offers a serene environment for couples to relax and enjoy the session.

If that is not enough reasons why IBSP is one of the best engagement session locations, I have more. Beach sunsets are magical, providing a perfect backdrop for photos that evoke a sense of romance and adventure. The playful nature of the beach also tends to bring out the inner child in couples, letting them engage in candid moments like picking each other up, swinging each other around, or playing in the waves. The gentle sound of the ocean paired with these intimate moments creates a session filled with fun and love. An added bonus – dogs are allowed on the beach year round!

Boat Rides & Sailing Adventures

If you love all of the above reasons but want something different, a boat is another best engagement session locations. Couples looking for something super unique and romantic, a boat offers a dreamy setting that’s hard to beat. There’s something enchanting about being surrounded by water and the gentle sway of the boat. The combination of sunsets, the open water, and the wind in your hair creates an ambiance that’s adventurous and allows the couple’s genuine affection to shine through.

Some of the best engagement session locations are ones that incorporate an activity or place special to the couple add a personal touch to the photos. For instance, if you’re an outdoor enthusiast, consider a hiking engagement session with your beloved dog. What makes one of the best engagement session locations is your first home town together! Hoboken, New York, Morristown, are all some of the cities and downtown areas my clients come from. Cities are especially great in fall or winter, offering a rich architectural backdrop that’s both classic and picturesque. City spots provide charming streets filled with history and character, making for striking photos. In these settings, couples can explore hidden alleys, historic landmarks, and bustling streets, all while capturing their love and connection.
