Others are unforgettable because of the people.

Caitlin and Will’s Spring wedding at Park Savoy managed to be both.

From the moment they saw each other during their first look until the final song on a packed dance floor, every part of their day felt intentional, emotional, and incredibly personal. Their vision was simple: create a wedding that was classy, elegant, timeless, and uniquely them. Every choice—from the soft dusty blue color palette to the emotional ceremony music and candlelit reception—reflected exactly that.

As a New Jersey wedding photographer, a Park Savoy weddingg is always one of my favorites to photograph, and Caitlin and Will’s wedding was the perfect reminder why.

A Love Story That Started in High School

Caitlin and Will’s love story started long before their Spring Park Savoy wedding day.

The two first met in high school when Will was a senior and Caitlin was a sophomore. They met in an elective class, and according to Caitlin, she “played hard to get”—something that definitely caught Will’s attention.

Years later, that playful beginning turned into a relationship built on friendship, laughter, and a love that continued to grow. After seven years together, Will planned the perfect proposal.

Their anniversary had arrived, and Caitlin had spent the year wondering if every trip, celebration, or special occasion might finally be the moment.

The year before, Will had casually told her:

“You never know, this may be our last anniversary as boyfriend and girlfriend.”

Naturally, Caitlin remembered those words. Will, however, claims he does not remember saying them. Still, those words had her questioning every date night and every plan they made.

When their anniversary finally arrived, Caitlin had convinced herself that a proposal was not happening.

Will had other plans. He surprised her with a beautiful evening at Ninety Acres. As they walked around the property before dinner, Caitlin noticed a photographer nearby capturing the scenery.

Not long after, Will got down on one knee.

And the surprises continued. After celebrating their engagement together, they headed back toward dinner where their parents were waiting to surprise them.

Later that evening, they arrived at Will’s parents’ home to find their closest friends and family gathered to celebrate. It was everything an engagement should be—personal, emotional, and completely centered around the people they love most.

Why They Chose Park Savoy

Some couples tour ten venues before making a decision. Caitlin only needed one.

Growing up, her mother would drive past Park Savoy and jokingly tell her,

“That’s where you’re going to get married someday.”

At the time it felt like a dream. Then Will’s cousin celebrated their wedding there, and after seeing the venue in person, they knew there was nowhere else they wanted to be.

It’s easy to understand why.

The timeless architecture, elegant spaces, beautiful grounds, and incredible guest experience checked every box they had envisioned for their wedding day.

Park Savoy is one of New Jersey’s most iconic wedding venues for a reason. Couples are drawn to the combination of classic elegance and the ability to create a celebration that feels completely personal.

For Caitlin and Will, it became the perfect backdrop for a day centered around family, tradition, and celebrating the people who supported them throughout their relationship.

A Timeless Spring Wedding Design

The color palette for this Spring Park Savoy wedding featured soft dusty blues, crisp whites, and touches of silver, creating a romantic spring atmosphere that felt sophisticated while still welcoming.

Rather than choosing oversized floral installations or an abundance of color, Caitlin focused on thoughtful details.

The floral design featured:

White roses
White tulips
Calla lilies
Baby’s breath

Individual blooms were displayed in delicate bud vases, allowing each flower to shine while creating a beautiful, understated look throughout the reception space.

The couple worked with Martinsville Florist, a family-owned business that already held sentimental value for them. Throughout their relationship, Will had purchased flowers there for Caitlin, so choosing them for their wedding felt like a natural decision.

One of the most talked-about design elements?

The custom chairs from Charged Up Events.

It was one of those subtle details that completely transformed the room and became one of the guests’ favorite features.

Bridesmaids Who Could Show Their Personality

Instead of asking every bridesmaid to wear the exact same dress, Caitlin encouraged each of them to choose a gown they genuinely loved.

The only guideline? Stay somewhere within the dusty blue color palette.

The result was beautifully cohesive while allowing every bridesmaid’s personality to shine. It perfectly reflected Caitlin’s belief that everyone should feel comfortable and confident standing beside her.

A Ceremony Filled With Meaning

Music played a huge role in their ceremony.

Caitlin walked down the aisle to The Music of the Night performed by Vitamin String Quartet—a meaningful tribute to her relationship with her father and a lifelong love of Phantom of the Opera.

The ceremony itself was officiated by one of Will’s longtime friends, making every word feel even more personal.

One especially touching detail was the memory table honoring loved ones who had passed away, ensuring they remained part of such an important day.

A Reception Guests Will Never Forget

If you’ve ever attended a wedding at Park Savoy, you already know the food deserves its own section.

Guests enjoyed everything from a raw bar and passed hors d’oeuvres to a mac and cheese station, New York strip carving station, martini ice luge, and countless other culinary experiences.

Their signature cocktails reflected each of their personalities:

Hibiki Japanese whiskey on the rocks
Tito’s Dirty Martini with blue cheese olives

The evening continued with incredible music from DJ Express, complete with a live saxophone performer that kept the dance floor full all night.

From the grand entrance to Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance with Somebody to their emotional first dance to Florence + The Machine’s version of Stand By Me, every song had meaning.

And yes… At one point Caitlin even ripped Will’s shirt off on the dance floor. Exactly the kind of unforgettable moment their guests will be talking about for years.

Wedding Planning Advice From Caitlin & Will

Looking back, they say the hardest part of planning was simply staying organized.

Between vendor emails, payments, timelines, and countless little decisions, creating a dedicated wedding email became one of the smartest things they did.

Their biggest worry? Wondering whether every little detail would actually come together – It did.

And their advice for future couples couldn’t be simpler: Trust the process. Everything truly does come together in the end.
