Elegant Armenian Wedding
Some weddings are beautiful because of the details. Others are memorable because of the people. This incredible Armenian wedding was the perfect combination of both.
From meaningful cultural traditions and a beautiful church ceremony to an unforgettable celebration at The Estate at Florentine Gardens, every part of the day reflected the couple’s love story, family values, and Armenian heritage.
The wedding day began at the bride’s family home, where loved ones gathered for a traditional Armenian Khosk-Arnel ceremony. Surrounded by family, friends, and generations of tradition, the morning was filled with excitement, anticipation, and heartfelt moments before the formal festivities began.
One of my favorite parts of wedding photography is documenting these meaningful cultural traditions. The intimate moments shared with family often become some of the most treasured photographs from the entire day.
Following the morning celebrations, family and friends gathered for a beautiful Armenian church ceremony officiated by Very Rev. Fr. Vache Balekjian. As the bride made her entrance to Canon in D, the church was filled with emotion and anticipation for the couple’s next chapter together.
After the ceremony, everyone made their way to The Estate at Florentine Gardens for a reception that perfectly blended elegance, romance, and celebration.
The couple envisioned a wedding that felt romantic and timeless. Their design featured a palette of whites, greens, silver accents, and soft blue tones reflected in the bridesmaids’ dresses. Lush floral arrangements filled the venue with peonies, lily of the valley, hydrangeas, orchids, wisteria, and other blooms that created an elegant garden-inspired atmosphere.
Every detail felt intentional, from the personalized thank-you cards and silver monogrammed chocolates at each table to the charitable donation made in lieu of traditional wedding favors. The couple chose to donate to a children’s home in Armenia, a meaningful gesture that reflected their values and heritage.
After months of planning, the newlyweds were most excited about one thing: celebrating with the people they love.
The reception quickly transformed into an incredible party filled with Armenian music, dancing, and nonstop energy. Honoring their culture was incredibly important to them, and they incorporated traditional Armenian entertainment throughout the evening. Their grand entrance set the tone for the celebration, bringing guests to the dance floor immediately and creating an unforgettable atmosphere from the very start.
One of the sweetest moments of the day came after the church ceremony when the couple found themselves alone together for a few quiet minutes. Between the excitement of the ceremony and the festivities still ahead, they were able to pause, reflect, and take in the significance of the day they had spent so long planning.
From a heartfelt proposal in Sedona, Arizona to this beautiful wedding celebration surrounded by family and friends, every part of their journey led to a day filled with love, tradition, and joy.
Their wedding was a perfect reminder that the most memorable celebrations are the ones that stay true to who you are. By honoring their Armenian heritage, prioritizing their guests’ experience, and creating an unforgettable celebration, they built a wedding day that was uniquely their own.
As the evening came to a close, there was only one complaint—the day ended far too quickly.
